Insects and other little ones
This one was sitting relaxed on a table and I could aproach him easily.
(Thaumetopoea pityocampa) The urticating hairs of the caterpillar larvae cause harmful reactions in humans and other mammals. The species is notable for the behaviour of its caterpillars, which overwinter in tent-like nests high in pine trees, and which process through the woods in nose-to-tail columns, protected by their severely irritating hairs. Not my favorite as a subject for photography.
They are coming here on Mallorca around the autumn, to get away from the real cold in the Northern countries in Europe.
Old World Swallowtail (Papilio machaon) A beautiful caterpillar from an also beautiful butterfly. This is what I like about macro photography.
From above they are having stripes, from underneath they are having dots! Great how mother nature does her job.
A little butterfly with everywhere dots. The Crimson-speckled Flunkey (Utetheisa pulchella)
The cat likes to chase them...
Humming butterfly, like to see them surrounded by flowers.
A tigre spider in the fields with their specific web.
I think this one was very willing to lie her eggs somewhere.
Catching the sun in their wings, to see how beatiful butterflies can be, even the common ones.
This praying mantis feels attacked by the cat, and with his impressive wings and specific sounds it is trying to chase me and the cat away. Nature defense.
Two Swallowtails found eachother on a hill on Mallorca...
