Terschelling (one of the West Frisian Islands in the Netherlands)
The island has a dike to protect it for storms and high water.
You can walk here for hours...
In between the dunes were this little pony.
On the island there are enormous wide beaches.
The main village of the island.
With the sunset it's always magic to see.
Take your dog with you and you will have a great time, it can run around free.
The oldest lighthouse of The Netherlands you can find on Terschelling. (1594)
In the distance you can see a glimp of another Frisian island 'Vlieland'.
High tide/low tide....every hour it's changing.
As far as you can see, dunes.
A trail caused by the wind.
A great view from here on the village and harbour.
A beach with a own personality.
Standing in the dunes on the West side.
Leaving the island by the ferry. See you next time.
A lot of 'cold' pictures from the island, unfortunately I can't be there in summer because of my work on Mallorca. The island Terschelling has got the most sunhours in a year, comparing with the rest of Holland.
You can be here alone with all your thoughts.
You can walk or cycle on the dike around here.
A great walk to do. You first walk in the forest, then you are in the dunes and later on the long beach, you walk finished in the main village where you can rest and drink a nice cup of coffee.
As seen from the ferry.
Another project that you could see on the famous festival Oerol.
